Silk

Silk, the most luxurious of all fabrics, is an invitation to indulge in softness, lightness, and fluidity. Woven from the delicate threads of the silkworm, this fabric drapes effortlessly, catching the light with every movement. It embodies grace and elegance, transforming the wearer with its beauty.

Caring for silk requires a delicate hand, much like the fabric itself. Gently hand wash in cool water using a pH-neutral, silk-safe detergent. Avoid soaking or twisting, as these can damage the delicate fibers. Rinse with cool water and roll the garment in a towel to gently remove excess moisture. Never wring or pull at the fabric, for silk must be treated with the utmost respect.

Lay your silk garment flat to dry, away from the harshness of sunlight, which may cause fading. The natural sheen of silk is best preserved when it is allowed to dry slowly and gracefully. If creases occur, steam on a low setting, or use a low-heat iron with a pressing cloth, never placing direct heat on the fabric. Always iron or steam while the garment is still slightly damp to preserve its lustrous texture.

For storage, always keep silk in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight and humidity. Avoid hanging, as the fabric may stretch; instead, gently fold your silk pieces and store them in a breathable garment bag, allowing them to rest in peace.
