Deadstock Leather

Leather, a living, breathing material, grows richer with time. Each mark, each crease, tells a story of wear and adventure, becoming more personal as it ages. It is a fabric that embodies both strength and softness, combining raw beauty with refined elegance.

Caring for leather means respecting its natural texture. Wipe your leather garments gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove any dust or dirt. Leather should never be exposed to water for prolonged periods. If the garment becomes wet, blot gently with a dry cloth, then allow it to air dry naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight, which can cause the material to crack or fade.

To preserve the suppleness of the leather, periodically condition it with a leather balm or cream. This helps to maintain its natural oils and prevents the material from drying out. Always apply a small amount of conditioner to a hidden area first to ensure compatibility with the leather’s surface. Leather should never be over-conditioned; a little goes a long way.

For storage, always keep leather garments in a cool, dry space, away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity. Never store leather in plastic bags; instead, allow the material to breathe by using a cotton garment bag or a dust cover. If storing for long periods, fill the garment lightly with tissue paper or a soft material to help it maintain its shape.
